What we are looking for

Pitch focused pieces about landscapes, architecture, foodways, customs or journeys. A strong proposal has a specific subject, a reason it matters to readers and a clear angle that does not rely on broad claims about an entire region.

Make the idea concrete

Tell us the working title, the central question and the main points the piece would cover. Note the kinds of sources or material you expect to use, and flag any uncertainty or perspective that needs particular care. We value precise observation and context over decorative description.
